Who we are
INTERVENE is an international and interdisciplinary consortium that seeks to develop and implement next-generation tools for AI-facilitated personalized medicine.

The consortium consists of 17 leading research and other organizations representing seven EU members states (Finland, Germany, Italy, Estonia, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands) as well as Norway, the United Kingdom and the USA.

INTERVENE comprises the largest and leading biobanks and medical data repositories across Europe and the USA. All the biobanks and medical repositories that have made their data available in the INTERVENE project are linked to cross-disease health registries or electronic health records, thereby providing the project with disease agnostic innovation potential.
The partners will link relevant data from the FinnGen study, the Estonian Biobank, the HUNT study, the Network for Italian Genomes, Partners Biobank, HUS Helsinki Biobank, UK Biobank, and Genomics England.
In total, the INTERVENE distributed repository will connect more than >1.7 million genomes linked with electronic health records and registry data.

The University of Helsinki serves as the coordinator of INTERVENE
