In early 2022, INTERVENE underwent a comprehensive scheduled evaluation by the European Commission to examine all project activities so far.

As part of this evaluation, a review meeting was held on February 15, 2022, attended by Commission staff together with three external reviewers.

At the meeting, INTERVENE WP leaders presented the progress and achievements accomplished in our first year as well as forward looking activities for 2022 and beyond.

The reviewers congratulated INTERVENE on a successful first year and commended the productivity of our work in the face of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The panel noted that INTERVENE has an ambitious vision, a strong team of scientists and managers, and well positioned for success moving forward in accordance with our plan.

Presentations were clear and well prepared, and dialogue with the reviewers was positive and constructive throughout.
